  Elizabeth ARNOLDI was probably the daughter of the first Benedict Arnold, but, perhaps, sister of Benedict Arnold, the Governor of Vermont. Elizabeth married William Carpenter, son of Richard of Amesbury (Wiltshire) with estate there (in England); born in England to Providence 1636; died 7 Sept. 1685. Elizabeth and William were the first generation of Providence Branch of Carpenters. bans of marriage were posted 1635: Providence/Pawtuxet, RI.
